A quanto pare, nascosta all’interno del piccolo e apparentemente innocuo aggiornamento al firmware di PlayStation 3 si celava un’arma contro i cheater di Call of Duty: Black Ops.
Il firmware per PS3 v 3.56, dunque, aumenta la “sicurezza” non solo della console, ma anche dell’FPS Activision a quanto pare, addirittura con il ban permanente (secondo quanto riferito sul forum del gioco) delle console dei cheater, impossibilitati così ad accedere ai server del gioco.
A quanto pare, si tratta di una manovra parallela a quella effettuata su Xbox 360 all’interno dell’aggiornamento di sistema rilasciato qualche giorno fa, anch’esso contenente un sistema per la rilevazione e il blocco dei cheat su Call of Duty: Black Ops.
