Usare il BlackBerry come media server per ascoltare musica e vedere video sulla TV, PS3 e altri dispositivi
Con le ultime beta del firmware BlackBerry 7.1 abbiamo compreso come RIM ha inserito il BlackBerry Media Server per condividere contenuti multimediali contenuti nello smartphone BlackBerry ad altri dispositivi via Wi-FI. Stiamo parlando di musica, video, foto, podcast e note vocali che, ad esempio, possiamo visualizzare collegati ad una PlayStation 3.
Tutto questo grazie al fatto che RIM e’ entrata a far parte del DLNA – Digital Living Network Alliance – che altro non e’ che una collaborazione internazionale fra industrie di computer e compagnie di apparati mobili, con l’obiettivo di sviluppare uno standard comune per la comunicazione su rete locale di molteplici dispositivi audio e video.
Questa funzione sara’ inclusa nel solo firmware BlackBerry 7 ma per tutti gli altri smarthphone BlackBerry con os 5.0, 6.0, 7.0 ci ha pensato EnefceDMS. Questa e’ una versione di base del server multimediale UPnP per device BlackBerry che permette di sfogliare le foto e riprodurre i file MP3 memorizzati sullo smartphone e riprodotti su dispositivi DLNA come TV, PS3 e molto altro tramite la rete WiFi.
EnefceDMS e’ disponibile nel BlackBerry App World per smartphone BlackBerry RIM con firmware 5.0 e successivi e con download OTA gratuito – puntando il Browser BlackBerry – a questo indirizzo.
