Collegare un controller PS3 al Mac
Cari appassionati di videogiochi in possesso di un Mac, i tempi bui sono finiti. Grazie anche al successo del Mac App Store molti produttori hanno iniziato a portare giochi di primo piano sul sistema della mela, negli ultimi mesi abbiamo visto arrivare giochi come RAGE, Mafia 2 e Batman Arkham Asylum, con BioShock 2e Deus Ex Human Revolution in arrivo a breve.
Sono molti gli utenti che vorrebbero giocare su Mac usando il joystick della PS3, abbiamo deciso di scrivere un tutorial per spiegarvi come collegare il joypad della PlayStation 3 al Mac.
Il procedimento è veramente molto semplice, basta attivare il Bluetooth sul Mac e collegare il Dual Shock 3 ad una presa USB tramite il cavo di ricarica incluso nella confezione della console. Tenete collegato il joypad della PS3 per alcuni istanti, poi staccate il cavo e tenete premuto il tasto PS (quello centrale) per almeno tre secondi.
Se avete fatto tutto nel modo corretto tra i dispositivi associati comparirà “PLAYSTATION(R)3 Controller“, adesso potete usare il joypad PS3 su Mac per giocare con i vostri titoli preferiti. Se il controller non viene associato assicuratevi di aver eseguito accuratamente tutti i punti, a differenza di quanto si crede, il pairing tra Mac e Dual Shock 3 non richiede codici di alcun tipo, la sincronizzazione si effettua tramite il cavo USB. Vi ricordo che la procedura di collegamento deve essere fatta solamente la prima volta.
La procedura funziona su Snow Leopard e Lion, mentre su Leopard e OS precedenti la sincronizzazione tramite Bluetooth non permette di associare il joystick della PlayStation 3 al Mac. In questi casi bisogna “smanettare” con driver non ufficiali (oltretutto non più supportati), fateci sapere se siete interessati ad una guida di questo tipo, magari in futuro pubblicheremo un tutorial apposito.
Il Dual Shock 3 è compatibile con la maggior parte dei giochi Mac e viene riconosciuto automaticamente, anche se la configurazione dei tasti non è sempre possibile e varia da gioco a gioco. Feral Interactive ad esempio supporta il joystick PS3 praticamente in tutti i suoi giochi (Borderlands, Batman Arkham City, Mafia 2, solo per citarne alcuni), mentre non è così per altri produttori.
Se volete avere la possibilità di configurare tutti i singoli tasti del Dual Shock 3 potete usare GamePad Companion: l’applicazione è in vendita su Mac App Store a 5.99 euro e permette di assegnare una funzione specifica ad ogni tasto del controller.
